African Swamphen (Porphyria madagascariensis)
I have captured this 'African Swamphen' at Marieval Bird 🦠Sanctuary, early in the morning, just after Sunrise 🌅. Very difficult to capture this species because they are very shy and run and hide in the reeds in the marshland. Early morning and GOLDEN HOUR is the perfect moment for Photographers because this time I've seen them most active to find food.
African Swamphen is a species of Swamphen occurring North East Botswana 🇧🇼, Zimbabwe 🇿🇼, part of Namibia 🇳🇦, Madagascar 🇲🇬, South Africa 🇿🇦 and cost of Mozambique 🇲🇿.
It has occurred as a vagrant in Israel 🇮🇱 in 2015.
They prefer rushes and sledges to reeds. Beautiful bird.... |
