I shot this butterfly at altitude 6000 ft in a shady place. There were many of them but mostly with damaged wings. October is almost the last month for the flight of butterflies at that altitude.
There is scant information on this particular butterfly, so my note concerns mainly with its genus:

Lycaenidae or
The Gossamer Winged Butterflies

Butterflies of this family are small, mostly under 5 cm. Their flight is rapid and erratic and very close to the ground. Subfamilies include The Blues, Coppers, Hairstreaks and Harverstes.

The Powdery Green Sapphire (Heliophorus tamu) is a small butterfly found in India that belongs to the Lycaenids or Blues family.

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Arthropoda
Class: Insecta
Order: Lepidoptera
Superfamily: Papilionoidea
Family: Lycaenidae
Genus: Heliophorus
Species: H. tamu

Hi Ram sir,
Wonderful shot of this beautiful butterfly with such vibrant blue colour on its wings. You have handled the difficult light conditions pretty well and captured it in a fine pose. Excellent POV and composition.

Hello Ram,

This is a wonderful capture. Though the wings are a little broken and battered, the pretty colors and details are splindid. Lovely composition and POV. TFS.

Hello Ram,
Amazing how many different Lycaenidae we can find through the world. This one must be quite striking with the big blue spots on the upper wings . I see that you had difficult light to manage, half shadow is always very tricky. Natural and well framed picture for which I thank you very much
Best regards
Anne

A veteran specimen Ram, but still exhibiting the fine colouration of the species in this fine, dorsal capture. Thank you for sharing it with us my friend.
Cheers,
Mehmet

Hi Ram.
I like this naturally looking picture. Both butterfly and its surroundings are so attractive. Shadows and separate light spots create a nice light tone pattern. Combination of sharpness and blurriness are fine too. My kind regards and TFS.
Alexei.
