Critiques [Translate]
Hi Jordi
I have worked through your portfolio and I am really impressed with your underwater shots. Well done so far. Especially lighting (or generally the lack thereof), the denseness of the water and many other factors too make underwater photography rather difficult and different from any other form of nature photography. Technically curtain shots could be improved upon, but you have captured some lovely moments and creatures and it was a pleasure working through all the material.
This moray was captured with good lighting though and the colours came out natural. The details are nice and sharp and the almost evenly coloured BG did well to enhance the subject.
May I suggest two other aspects of your TrekNature activities (to date) which I believe you could improve upon and thereby potentially experience a far greater satisfaction on this site? Firstly; you need to remember that the motto (or purpose) of this site is to learn about nature through photography. Therefore, your notes are rather important. Not only do you learn more about your subjects when you do some research on it, but so too does the viewer when he/she read your notes. Notes could include any information about the venue, the subject, technical information about the shot, or you could tell us more about your experience while capturing the image. Secondly; I notice you have posted (to date) 37 shots and received 35 critiques while you have only written 5 critiques yourself. Critiquing is an important aspect of this site and you will find the more you critique other people the more they will return to your portfolio and critique your photos. It is a case of give and take. I hope you will consider these suggestions and I am sure that you will find that the more you apply it the more you will enjoy your stay on TrekNature.
Take care and TFS.
Regards
Loot
