Een mooie opname van deze 4 spotted,compositie is goed,wellicht dat de boter of zonnebloem in de achtergrond iets afleid,maar dat is maar een kleine nit,hoop dat de vissen ook hapten vandaag,

This is an amaising photo with extreme sharpness. All details of insect's body can be clearly seen. Also colors rendering is impressive. Compositon is very well done and thye blurry background enhaces the sharpness of the imge.

Dit is werkelijk schitterend! Hoe kun je een half jaar met zo'n topfoto in je computer blijven zitten!?!?

Hello Jaap,

an admirable picture of quadrimaculata! You achieved a great depth of field and superb sharpness.
The focus on the body is precise so that the left and the right wings equally participate in field depth.
Colours are nice and natural. This is also true for the setting and the general composition.
It's a very attractive picture of the dragonfly and its resting place.

Hello Jaap
This is one of those images that first of all catch your eye because of its beauty. It’s like a pretty kind of picture. The type that you should print, frame and hang on your wall. I really like the composition, the blurred background with that spot of yellow just slightly visible and most of all I like the way it is holding on to the unopened buds of the flower or grass (I am not sure what it is) Your image is greatly framed, super sharp and detail is clear and attention grabbing. Thanks for sharing and it was good to see a posting from you again.

Ehheee...nice to see some old friends returning to TN! I hope this time is for a longer time :)

Seeing your dragonfly shot is always a pleasure and your work with that Tamron 90mm is indeed inspiring. By the way, do you find it ok, as a distance from the subject, for general dragonfly photos?
Anyway, i must say that the sharpness and details it delivers is terrific, the colors here are gorgeous and the DOF you chose is spot-on.
Te diagonal composition also adds to the attractiveness of the scene, making this is lovely post.

The picture is perfect. Great composition and superb colours. The details are so crisp and clear. I guess if I'll finally decide to buy a macro lens I'll have to go for the Tamron. Seems to do an amazing job. Are you happy with it?
