|HUMMINGBIRD HAWK - MOTH (FROM MY ARCHIVE)|
IN THE WORKSHOP I POST ANOTHER IMAGE WITH THE SAME SPECIE OF MOTH.....
The hummingbird hawk-moth is distributed throughout the northern Old World from Portugal to Japan, but is resident only in warmer climates (southern Europe, North Africa, and points east). It is a strong flier, dispersing widely and can be found virtually anywhere in the hemisphere in the summer. However it rarely survives the winter in northern latitudes (e.g. north of the Alps in Europe, north of the Caucasus in Russia). They have been spotted in Newfoundland, Canada and Malaysia as well as southeast Texas, Southern California, and Northern Utah. There have also been reported sightings during the winter in Ireland.

Fantastic action shot of this beautiful Hawk Moth. I know from experience how challenging these hovering moths can be when it comes to photographing them. You have captured it perfectly in this frontal position showing excellent detail and lovely color tones.

Hi Marius, very difficult moth to take,i know...ehehe...your pics are good,i like the frontal view, and the WS with a Lycaena Phlaes in flight in the blurred background, well done. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano
Well captured this flying Moth. Personally, I prefer more close and bigger view :-)
Well focus on its eyes. More depth could have been netter, although I know its not an easy shot :-)
Hope one day I'll buy a Macro lens and will show.
Thanks for sharing,
Very difficult capture my Friend!
Superb composition, wonderful natural colors and a beautiful clean surround.Well done!
Have a good WE and thanks.
