It has been a very hot and dry summer here also. The thistles always seem to survive and produce beautiful blooms in any conditions. Beeautiful color and sharp detail in this shot.

Muy buenas Jose.
La verdad es que son bonitas estas flores y bien sacadas por cierto, me "imagino" que es la flor de un cardo (mi inglés no es muy bueno), por lo que al ver el fondo con ese fondo marronoso y esos pinchos me hace pensar que sea alguna especie de cardo.

You still have no rain ? We had rain every day since the beginning of August, in Alsace ! Everything is rotting in the garden because the weather is too wet ! It is a very beautiful thistle, and you have captured is so nicely. Excellent details, natural colors and ice composition. Very well done !

Lo siento, anoche estuve una hora y no pude identificarlo (tampoco soy experto) pero lo tengo en cuenta.
MUY MAJO TU CARDILLO SIN NOMBRE,quizás algo justo de foco pero esa foto tiene su dificultad ( ya me atrevo a criticar a los buenos jajaja) La mayoría de las compuestas y en concreto los cardos tienen unas flores espectaculares.
Yo con mono, se cascó la canon y tenía 3 meses (error 99) y dices que cambiarán el obturador...
