Liquen: Cladonia sp.
Musgo: Hypnum sp

Anne

Hello Jose,

Your close-up of the moss is very good as you have chosen a well adapted DOF. Plants are shown in a clear image so that good details can be observed.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hello Jose,
This is a very good shot, but you have something more than moss here.
The two objects protruding from the moss are part of a lichen of the family Cladoniaceae.
It is a very large family, with over 70 species in New Zealand alone.
You can see some similar ones here on Clive Shirleys site 'The Hidden Forest'
Of course, lichens are made up of two organisms,a fungi and either algae or cyanobacteria .... you might need to update your notes ;)
A very good shot indeed though.
Cheers & thanks for sharing.
Steve

Hi Jose!

Fantastic photo from microcosmos. Very green and detailed, with perfect composition. Two lichens look like green binoculars or ears of Shrek :-)

Hola Jose Ramon,
Focus, sharpness, color tones, details, lighting, POV, shallow DOF and composition look very nice. Gracias y saludos amigo,

Hy Jose
I know that this lichens are quite small, not very easy to photograph them with a normal lens. I like the picture, in green colors, with great details in the lichens body!
Oana

I could never imagine Lichen could take such an interesting shape and that too growing on Moss, Jose.
This is a brilliant shot with those two identical cylinders of Lichen standing tall. The green ambience is another feature of this picture that makes it so very attractive.
Thanks and regards.

Hi Jose.
Few times I photographed moss too. It is so difficult kind of shooting. First of all you have found an amazing specimen. And then you have created simply terrific shot. I am impressed with applied equipment and final result. Fantastic details and sharpness with huge DOF considering the size of the subject. Lights and colours are wonderful too. Bravo. Great job.
Alexei.

Hallo Jose
How beautiful is this image. Green upon green and so lovely to look at. The textures of the Lichen on the moss is captured with great clarity and detail. Altough the image is 99% green it is very eye-catching and soft on the eye. It does however remind me of Schrek's ears in some way. Thanks for sharing. Best regards. Anna

HiJose Ramon,
An superb macro of this vase-shaped lichens on moss from wonderful POV with neat details and delightful composition.
Enhorabuena. Buen fin de semana:)

Hello Jose,
A very fine macro of these fine Lichens appearing out of the mosses. An excellent composition showing sharp details and fine colours.
TFS and regards, Ulla

Hola Jose Ramon !
What an unusual picture of something we do not see very often on TN ! The shape of these lichens and the green color are amazing, and so beautiful. Sharpness is excellent, details and textures are perfectly reproduced, the vertical composition is splendid, and all the different tones of green are very pleasant to the eye.
Agradecidos y saludos,
Valérie.
