Hi Ferran. A fine picture taken in the sumer. This is a good side view off the Spanish Gatekeeper . Taken with good detai land natural colours. A good contast from the flower. well taken TFS.

Entiendo poco de la regla de los tercios para la composición, pero creo que aquí las has roto de forma magistral. Las flores del lado derecho, captadas y ubicadas perfectamente, entregan mucho carácter al conjunto. De más está decir que los detalles de la mariposa, la luz y su nitidez son muy buenos.

Very attractive shot Ferran,
Even the colors of the BG seem to compliment the Chocolate browns and oranges in the beautiful butterflies wings.
The lavender flowers are a nice addition, and the fine detail you've captured makes this a real beauty!!

Dear Ferran,
Your favorite hunting-ground, Andalucia offers beautiful flora and fauna. Pity, when coaches disgorge hordes of tourist,a lot gets trampled, destroyed...

The layout of your photo is so pleasing to the eye(the rule of thirds triumphs).
The plant's common name 'Midnight Blue' is fully justified by the natural, brilliant colours of your photo ('Throatwort', another common name is rather less romantic.)

The perfect depth of field shows in detail the tiny hair on the edge of the wings - and the way you positioned yourself - allows the pistil stamen touching the Butterfly, hereby emphasising the rich orange/brown of the scales.

A fitting photo to celebrate the exhibition of your 300th photo.
