Mariposa marron

Esta es la segunda mariposa que consigo fotografiar. Hay una gran diferencia en los dos casos.En la primera predominaba el negro y por lo que me dijeron alguno de ustedes se trataba de una Vanesa Atalanta,en esta predomina el marron pero el nombre no lo se de momento.
La primera fue en el mes de agosto y solo le consegui dos fotos,en cambio esta que fue a finales de Octubre, se quedo quieta para las que hiciera falta, eso si la mayoria con las alas cerradas, estaba como muy agotada. |

Hola Jose,
point of view and colours are pretty good. Sharpness on the butterfly could be better.
I can't really identify the plant. Is it Thuja or a Selaginella. If it is the latter one it may be interesting. I think Spain suffers under the heat and drought of the last summers. Grass, the usual larval foodplant of the butterfly shown, Pararge aegeria, will become scarce. It is known for some tropical species of the subfamily Satyrinae that they feed on Selaginella. Are these plants also accepted by aegeria? That's the story!

Hi Jose.
You have captured very pretty shot. Lovely colours, interesting lights and darks, excellent composition. The image of the butterfly id soft a bit but it does not reduce the beauty of the picture. My best wishes and TFS,
