"KISS OF LIFE". = " LIFE IS PRECIOUS".

Sparrows in the back yard.

This year we were given the great bounty of having within our premises babies of Robins, Wood Peckers, Ravens, Crows, Magpies, and Sparrows, Purple Finches too.
And, at Weaselhead we registered baby Swallows; and, Canada Goose gosslings plus baby ground squirrels at Ingelwood Bird Santuary ...all within city limits.
On our trip to Jasper National Park we encountered baby bears and deer. What a wonderful life it has been for us.

Shall post a family of Sparrows behind our home in 5 stages with the following titles:
1) Snack .... this is the "starter" of the series. Was posted on 8th. August 2007. Please see it on: "SNACK".
2) Lunch Time. (You will note an exceptionally colourful female feeding its chick.) Was posted on 9th.August 2007.Please see on:"Lunch Time".
3)KISS OF LIFE. Posted on 10th. August 2007.
4) "I WANT MORE". (Note how angry the baby looks. Perhaps it should read: "Hungry"???) To be posted.
5)"WANT MUCH MORE".(Is this HUNGER or ANGER???) To be posted.

The above 5 were also registered with the Sony DSC H9 with the help of a tripod on: 13th. July 2007.

All the series shall contain the above note.

Hello Mario,
Father's feeding her chick,very cute scane.I liked POV,framing and composition a lot.Have a great weekend!
TFS..:-)

Hi Mario
This is a very touching image of the father sparrow feeding it's young. I love your old barn board birdhouse, the grey colour is natural. It's so nice we still have wildlife in our big city. Well done and interesting note.
TFS Janice
I have to cover my plants tonight it going down to 0C here in Cochrane :(

Hi Aires,

you catched a very important and sweet moment.

Well done!

Gio

The pic is really bad!
Totally out of focus and with a green color overall.

The moment captured is fine...

Hi Mario,

Being in the right place at the right time is half of the battle, and you have captured a wonderful moment in nature. You ARE showing some skills. The composition of this photo is perfect.

It is true that the photo has some weaknesses, but I will not be so blunt as another. The focus is a bit soft and blurry. I see that you used a tripod. The camera could have had a slight bump when you took the photo. Do you have a cable release to activate the shutter? I think probably what happened is that the focus was not set quite as sharp as it needed to be.

There is also a slight problem with the color tint. I am not sure what caused that. I am still learning, so I don't know what to suggest.

Mario, you have done very well with your gallery considering the amount of experience you have had. I hope you will continue to practice and I am sure you will improve. The key is to take lots of photos, as many as you can. I still delete about two-thirds of the photos I take.

Have a good weekend... and keep shooting!
Ken

Namastay Mario,
Another beautiful capture depicting the first food of a newly hatched in your series. Very nice composition and excellently timed shot. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hello Mario, A very well timed nature photo. You got this just at the right moment. I like the supporting leg of the large bird. Good colours. TFS. Murray.

Hello Mario,
A cute situation, my friend, and you capture so well!
Image is well composed with fine details, the little fellow seems so hungry but then they do most of the time in that age...
I have no idea why but there seems to be a slight greenish cast?
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hello Mario

A wonderful shot of Dad tending to the young ones. These guys work tirelessly at providing for their progeny.Very good details and DOF.The POV is amazing.Lovely OOF BG.TFS

Rob

Nice little photo-documentary series you have here. The image could be a little more sharp/vibrant, but it is amazing how tight you have a crop on this image (and most likely because the full size image needed cropped). Good job on framing/cropping.
