How interesting..and so through your learning you also teach as well. What a nice concept you have discovered Mario. One is never too old or too clever to teach. A fine capture my friend N of the 49th!

Namastay Mario,
A beautifully colored Gecko. The LP shows it well enough. Lovely composition with good use of flash. The details are well focused and the POV works here well. Good notes too. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Sincerely
Haraprasan

Hello Mario!
This gecko species is really strange for me, totaly different in general shape of body, especially if I compare it with European species (I believe one of them I will try to show on TN this week :>). And not only its shape is different, also colours are so light and vivid! Interesting is if this body colouration is also a criptic colouration, or maybe this species is poisonus and do not need to camouflage?
Very nice lesson of zoology my Friend! And thanks you for that! :>
Best withes,
Radomir

Hi Mario
A strange reptile indeed, but then again have you ever seen something coming from Australia that isn't strange (chuckle)? This is the first and only posting of this fascinating creature, here on TN, so of course it had to join the other oddities in my "RARE or SIGNIFICANT contributions to TN" theme.
I am sure you would be the first one to agree with me that it is a pity this guy did not come to the party and participate just a little more by giving you a full side on view or perhaps even by looking back at you over its shoulder. However, I am convinced that the thrill of capturing this rare material all made up for that slight shortfall though. I know, it's always so easy to sit in an armchair and say that the animal should have stood here or there or this way or that way, but in the field it is mostly not that easy. You did great under the most difficult circumstances to capture this guy practically while in a state of blindness. The fascinating link you provided confirms this as a true gecko, showing the suction cups on its feet. Great stuff MF.
Very well done and TFS.
Best regards
Loot
