My friend Bob and I stopped by Fish Creak Park today to see what we could find . He was saying how the spot we were in would be a great spot for deer . Hey , they turned up .
This was taken earlier in the morning , and you can see this doe's breath on the air . White Tail deer are common in the park . It was great to catch this one and three others nibbling a bit of breakfast .

Hi Kev,
you said it and it was sure great to have been able to get these wonderful looking deer. What a day for photo taking as the light was just so very clean and helpful in our getting decent shots. This morning was fairly cool at -6 or -7c and what is nice to see in this shot of yours is the frost on the back of this doe.It is amazing that I should say that we might see some deer and actually see them, just dumb luck on my part.Nice back lit shot with good detail and focus and thanks for putting up this beauty and as I hoped ahead of my own. Bob

what a beautiful shot :-) the light is awesome, looks warm, but it´s actually cold when one can see its breath.
the "glowing" brown dried grass is great and of course the deer too, terrific side-view.
well done & best wishes, thor.

I see the date is last October...

Well it also shows in the photo! The frozen breath on the hairs below the deer's mouth! A crips shot Kevin!

I especially like the way you have worked here with the light!
It shows from the "white" tail to the "icicles" and breath!
Shows any and all why these deer are called WHITE tail deer, eh!

Now what the hey were U2 doing here in Fish Creek Park???
