"PORTRAIT OF A WARTHOG".

A Wart Hog is essentially a PIG. They come in different shapes and forms.

They are a peaceful species. They spend their time principally in EATING, SLEEPING, and sex. They are ferocious, being extremely formidable, only when threatened and or attacked.

Here is a perfect example of how tenacious they are when it comes to survival; A PIG VS. A JAGUAR.

The latter was a tiny fellow. But have a look at this one.

A pig is always a pig no matter how much lipstick you may favour it with. Loot's Don't "PIG OUT" Behind My Back! will confirm my statement.

One can rightfully fear their TUSKS. At the end of this page please click to see them FIGHTING, probably over "mating" rights.

For excellent amount of details please get in. Find out what Mr. Theodore (Teddy) Rooselvelt thought about this species. Thanks. In the Portuguese language it is called "JAVALI".

In Hawaii the wild boar grows in abundance. The late Mr. Steve Irwin from Australia had a few shows on TV showing how dangerous this animal can become when attacked.

Mr. Krishna Gopal Kodath, a new TN member using the screen name of "dugulk", has contributed this interesting post.

Hi Mario,
this is an interesting post and very entertaining as well.I like the pig/jaguar footage you have included and it is no surprise that a cat like the jaguar can't handle this type of animal. Here in Alberta as you know we have a problem with wild boars and they certainly are even more dangerous, not to mention not native to Canada. The colour and details of this portrait photo are very good and the tusk shows this animal is getting on in years. Thanks for sharing this much maligned creature however there is a place for them in the overall scheme of things here on earth. Bob

Hi Aires,
An unusual and also perfectly composed portrait capture of Warthog my friend! I like this shot and face of this male warthog seems pretty. TFS this.
Cheers,

Bayram
