"URINATE IN BED" = "DANDILION".
Have, in the past, posted the "DANDILION", I believe, 3 times.
Had never mentioned its peculiar property of it "going to sleep" when the sun goes down or when it is a DARK AND GLOOMY DAY; what I mean is that its flower closes "SHUT" whenver the sun "goes to sleep". Also, you may read about its MEDICINAL USES right here.
The English name dandelion is a corruption of the French "dent de lion" meaning lion's tooth, referring to the coarsely-toothed leaves. The names of the plant have the same meaning in several other European languages, such as ITALIAN "dente di leone", SPANISH "diente de león", PORTUGUESE "dente-de-leão", Norwegian "Løvetann", and German "Löwenzahn".
In modern French the plant is named "pissenlit", which means "urinate in bed", apparently referring to its diuretic properties.
All the images may be ENLARGED when the right bottom of the imports are clicked.
The first image is the DANDILION in FULL BLOOM.
To its right LEAVES RESEMBLING A "LION'S" TOOTH.
Bottom left A BABY DANDILION LEAF.
The above 3 images were photographed on the 24th. August 2008 at about 04:12 pm.
To its right A SLEEPING DANDILION FLOWER.
The latter was registered on the 25th. August 2008 at about 07:12 am. It is in its "SLEEPING MODE".
Here is a FREEBE taken at about 10:12 am. also on the 25th. August 2008.

Wow...what a lesson plan Mario. I admire you so much for your overall dedication to the natural world. It saddens me that some folks half your age and younger do not see how much time and effort you put into this. Since you do not post every day perhaps it is just a loss of thought, but I really would like to see you get credit...at least more credit for all of the work you do....You are as always to me, a teacher of patience.

Hello Mario. I like reading your note as much as looking at these images. The catchy title is an added bonus. Sharp detail in different focus on the plants. Thanks for sharing this hard worked post and best regards to you. Jusni

Hi, dear Mario.
Beautiful flowers and amazing quality of every shot. I like crisp sharp images of the plants and flowers, wonderful illumination of pictured objects, great vivid colours and composition. Bravo. Perfect work. My best regards and TFS.
Alexei.
Hy Mario
It is very impressive your botanic lesson. This collage could be e better example for learning plant morphology, even (and I saw now,) you are not a biologist by profession.
