"O OLHO de um BOI".

This phenomenon you are witnessing is known in the Azores, in local slang, as "OLHO DO BOIO". In correct Portuguese, however, it is "O OLHO de um BOI". It means "The eye of an ox".

This morning, here in Calgary, the temperture was 0*C. It was also "OVERCAST". There was a real struggle between the Sun and the Clouds. Who do you think won???

Of course, the Sun!!!

However, while the FIGHT was on I noticed this MOST BEAUTIFUL SIGHT from our dinning room while having breakfast. Quickly, I grabbed the Sony DSC H9 & CLICK, CLICK, CLICK.

And, VOILA...... you are "witnessing the phenomenon" too.

There is a famous saying of Sir 'Abudu'l-Baha: " When a man turns his face to GOD he sees sunshine EVERYWHERE".

You will have noticed that most of my posted images are around my home; don't have to travel miles & miles & miles to register them. The truth is: THERE IS BEAUTY "EVERYWHERE".

The solitary "O OLHO de um BOI".

That is a very well thought out way to present..It is creative artform of nature through photography. Fine overall lesson plan from you Mario. Your plans are always worthy of high praise...for they do so much more than show just a picture...you tell a story and we all learn something we had never known...Very nice!

Despite the common subject you managed to present this scene wonderfully. I like frame created by impressive trees, nice and correct exposure of the image and delicate pleasant lighting. Well done and TFS.
