5:40 am. Misty Mystery is as good as any for a title for today's upload.During the summer months here where I live,if you want to go out with me to take photos you had better be prepared to get up just before sunrise.I do not believe in wasting a perfectly good day in bed while so many photo opportunities await me out of doors and seeing the day begin a new is it's own reward. No two sunrises are ever really the same and as the sun is coming up the light changes very quickly, so many hues of the sky can be seen.I like foggy sunrises as fog adds an air of mystery to the beginning of the day and for we who like to photo wildlife it is sometimes a mystery as to what we might find to photo. The veil of fog can be inviting as I would like to venture forth into it to see what is hidden just beyond my view and perhaps have a nice surprise in the process, fog doesn't get me down on sunny days ,however on dull and gray days it can be almost ominous and foreboding. No matter the mood of fog there is always a touch of mystery to it,not a bad thing for what is just basically cloud on the ground. I hope you like this photo of today as after having seen Bob Shannon's photo of today,I wanted to show a foggy photo that has a bit more cheerfulness to it and please do check out Bob's photo as well,it is a cracker!

I see a ray of sun....at least in yours and it is welcome here BUT..it is now raining...and temp is US 35F....and supposed to go on though tomorrow...I would be VERY happy if a low came through and cleaned us bob. I need a good smudging of this cabin, the city folk call an apartment..and I don't think they would appreciate me smudging it...I could use Lysol but that's an old old trick:-)

Hi Bob,
What a poetic image you show us today.
I like the subtle hues on it, to depict the fight against the rising sun and the fog.
A thoughtful writing so enjoyable to read.
Great work and thanks for share.
My best regards,
JM

Hello Bob

The colours are striking in this shot.
You have created a wonderful atmosphere with the use of the fog.
Well composed,I like the way the tree emerges from the fog.
Sharply focused.

Hi Bob,

Stunning landscape, nature sure knows how to put on a show. Love the colours & tones, and the tree appearing through the mist just adds to the shot. Really nice work, all the best,

Cheers Rick :)

Hi Bob!

The title suits the wonderful picture very well. It's the kind of ambience and atmosphere that wakens emotions. It's peaceful, calm and refreshing at the same time. The composition and the lighting highlight the misty and mysterious effect.

Kind regards

Markus

Hi Bob. This is the best time of day. I once had ajob where i worked in the night andi was out side did not like the job just being about early.
I like the way you have taken this with the three different layers of colour. The sky the grass and the mist. I like the single tree . well done TFS.

Hi Bob,
That great Alberta morning. This is outstanding my friend. The scene is beautiful the camerawork is perfect. A real gem I'd say.
Rick

Hi Bob,
I love the mood in this photo. It always amazes me what fog or mist can do to the photo. Your high POV above the mist gave it that extra special feel. The orange glow in the sky is like a warm blanket of a cool landscape. As you so well put in your critique of my tree photo. A single tree does give a person a special feeling. I also wonder about the stories a tree can tell us. This one can probably give a many stories of farmers but also of the wonderful views he's seen over the many years.
TFS,
Niek
