"VULTURINE GUINEA FOWL".

All images may be ENLARGED by clicking the RIGHT BOTTOM OF ANY OF THE IMPORTS.

This is a dedication to ppmiranda from Brazil.

This is the largest of the Guinea fowl family member. Looks like a "VULTURE" hence its name: "Vulturine".

The Helmeted Guinea Fowl is also a member of these species ; there are, however, small differences between them. The vulturine lays only about 8 to 10 eggs within a clutch; whereas, the helmeted will lay about 30. The latter can range in colours from snow white to purple. Here is a Chart showing the colour variations in a "Helmeted Guinea Fowl". These can, at times, be bigamous.

Great amount of details are available here with respect to the "VULTERINE GUINEA FOWL".

Hallo Mario
What a pleasant and colourful image. I think all the details are just great and clearly visible. A gorgeous bird which you presented in a very special close-up. The more I look at it, the more glamourous it becomes. Fantastic portrayal with great detail and beautiful colours. The colour of the eye is vivid and comes across somewhat fierce. Thanks for sharing. I appreciated this one very much.
Kind regards
Anna

Hello Mario,
A superb picture of a very special creature. Very original composition and an excellent light-management. The big green leaves at the right give to the picture a very colorful and interesting touch.
Fantastique!
Thanks so much
Have a nice weekend
Anne

Hi Aires, nice capture of big bird. Beautiful colors and details. DOF and sharpness is good. Crop is bit too tight IMHO. Vertical composition would have worked as well. TFS - Cheers - Adil.

Hello Mario,
When I see Calgary, I think of ice skating and mountains with snow, not of a bird from the heath of East Africa.
I've seen them in Ethiopia. Very beautiful birds with a very small head.
Nice photo in good colours and sharpness. Very good POV.
Regards,
Peter

Hi, Mario, dear friend.
You have pictured simply wonderful bird and very nice surroundings (especially I like fine leaves on the right side of the frame). And quality of the shot is excellent despite the difficult light conditions. Exposure of the bird image and BG is spot on. You have reflected all tones of the bird colouration greatly. Sharpness and details are stunning. Every feather is reproduced precisely. Bravo. Well done. My heartfelt congratulations.
Alexei.

Ciao Mario, great capture of strange bird with fantastic colors, fine details and excellent sharpness, very well done, have a good week end, ciao Silvio

Hello Mario,
