"PURPLE FINCH".

This couple started "fooling around" in the United States. They have now come to Canada for their honeymoon; and, though it is about 10*C (can see it on the thermometer on the varandah railing) there is still plenty of snow on the front yard. This couple are not interested in the food. They have their eye on the Emerald Cedar tree. This is the first couple, this year, to arrive. They will choose the BEST site to construct their "CONDO".

They are shy & elusive.

I've "placed" them closer for you to view. Have "cropped" & ENLARGED & "collaged" the two tiny new U.S. arrivals into Canada gracing "OUR" home in particular.

No wonder he loves her; she is soooooooo beautiful.

The romance will end thus: "PURPLE FINCH a BABY" hopefully. The latter took place on 28th. May 2007. It has repeated ever since; hopefully this year too.

Hi Mario
It's great to see that the Purple Finch are back. I haven't seen any in Cochrane yet. I have seen one Robin so far and the pussywillow are just starting to come out. Nice capture Mario.
