"THE TYRANT LIZARD KING".=Tyrannosaurux rex.

On 11th.March we visited the Bad Lands of Alberta Canada. It was a glorious day, full of sunshine and no wind. Before getting into the heart of the Midland Provincial Park we visited the "Horseshoe Canyon" where we registered many subjects of HISTORICAL VALUE to and our world, as we know it today.

And, since we were in the vicinity of the Royal Tyrrell Musuem we decided to discover there the study of ANCIENT LIFE, namely, PALAEONTOLOGY.

This Museum which houses the remains of "THE TYRANT LIZARD KING" ( you are looking at it) was so named in honour of young Joseph Burr Tyrrell, a geologist who in 1884 stumbled upon the 70 million-year-old dinosaur skull belonging to an ALBERTOSAURUS, so named in 1905, the year Alberta became a Province of Canada. He discovered the dinosaur remains along the banks of the Red Deer River. Twenty seven years after this event "The Great Canadian Dinosaur Rush" began.

'Bone Hunters' have continued, ever since, to unearth the ancient remains of Earth's varied creatures.

Tyrannosaurus rex, tyrant lizard king, is of the MESOZOIC ERA. This is one of the last dinosarrs to appear in the Late Cretaceous. T-rex was probably one of the largest MEAT- EATERS, tall as a mordern giraffe and almost 43 feet in length. This one, you are looking at, was found along the Red Deer River, just north of this Museum. Another one was located at the Crowsnest Pass.

Extinction is a part of life. We, today, call it death. I am, however, referring to the "extinction" of the species, of all "living" things.

And if we do not stop respecting our Earth the way we should .... we are all going to end up as ..... ONCE UPON A TIME.

Hi dear Mario.
I don't know if it was possible to select more expressive POV. You have done this extremely well as well as the selection of exposure parameters and use the flash. Great picture with great composition and cropping. Your shot creates an surprising impression. I can feel breath of centuries. Bravo, my dear friend. Superb art work.
