[Normas para las notas] Notas del fotógrafo
This Bull Moose was with a group of four other bulls, in a marshy area west of Ressor Lake in the Cypress Hills, he was the biggest though. This is the first time I have even seen a rather large group of bulls together. The moose is the biggest member of the deer family in the world. Moose are very good athletes, they can swim for hours, dive to depths of 6 meters, stay underwater for up to a minute and run at speeds up to 55km/h.

Hehe - what a pose ! :)
I don't know why, but it makes me smile :)
Looks like a scene from my favourite "Northern Exposure" serie
The white "things" at the bottom seems a bit distracting, but on the other hand they add some "3D sense" into the shot
Nice photo Rick

Hello Rick,
Excellent sharp head-on shot of this majestic Moose. I wonder how close you were! They're bigger and have larger horns than our Northern Elks. They have reduced in numbers here lately. Well done!
TFS, Ulla

Man Rick, where were you standing when you took this. This must have been some scary. Composition wise it looks great. Very nice shot.

Thanks, John

Hi Rick,
Great capture of this bull Moose.
Apart from a little softness I can't really fault this shot and think anyone is lucky to come across a group of Moose to take a shot like this - at what distance? About 60-70 meters?
TFS, regards, Ivan

Nice shot of the king of the northen wood, This beast are so great and very impressive. The picture is good great presentation, good low light effet. But this low light cost you a little bit of sharpness! Well done

Hi Rick. A spectacular photograph. He seems to have you in his sights as well. Excellent and unusual contribution. Murray.

Hello Rick,
Well captured with good DOF making the beast really stand out!
Well composed image with sharp good details, interesting info about diving ability but I still have no idea why they dive?
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Rick,
great shoot of this moose and from 100 meters yet! That new lens that I acquired recently sure is going to be a boon to me for the types of shots that I like to get.Good detail and nice contrast on this fellow,he sure is a big boy. Bob

Hiya Rick :)

I could spend hours looking at your photography. Every shot is superb! I am so ready to take a trip to Alberta. What an amazing place to live.

This is a gorgeous fellow, excellent sharpness (as always), great eye contact and the DOF is perfect. I had no idea that they could dive, that is a neat triva fact to know!

When I grow up I so wanna be like you!

Ange
