[Normas para las notas] Notas del fotógrafo
After a long and seemingly never ending winter I was finally able to head out and try to get some fresh pictures.

This red-winged blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) was frustratingly far away to photograph well, but just as I was leaving its location it came in closer and I was able to capture one of its leaps as it jumped into the air to catch insects. You can see the insect just above the beak as it gets ready to snatch it.

Hi Alan,
just great, your Red winged Blackbird ! An animal in action, the ultimate challenge for a photographer, you mastered it. You even can tell that the prey is a beetle. Thanks for sharing.
Greetings, Dietrich

Waaw Alan, what a timing! Fantastic capture of this blackbird with the open beak and with the insect ready to be eat..i haven't words,a bit lucky but great to be there in the perfect moment, very good sharpness too despite the fast mouvement! Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Alan,
Nice to see this Red-Winged Black bird ☺ in action. Well timing and nicely framed with that insect. But focus isn't good, in my humble opinion. Focus on eye isn't well. I also use 150-600mm, but Tamron. You have good Camera 📸 and you could use Back button Auto Focus to get good result. I think SPOT metering works well than default PATTERN, in such situation.
Thanks for sharing your work with us ☺,
Regards and have a nice weekend 🙂,
Srikumar
