Wallabies, like their larger cousins, kangaroos, are marsupials - pouched mammals. This photo shows a mother and joey swamp wallaby which are fairly common throughout the blue mountains west of Sydney. The photo was taken in the very isolated Kanangra Walls area.
Their faces are particularly attractive. Mum is a bit wet on the side having just come out from wet bushes.
