Yesterday I had a little time to go walking in the morning. I walked about 4 miles to a creek that is on a hill adjacent to the town where I live. When I was sitting in the forest surrounding the creek, I saw a butterfly pass mid-sized and black, I devoted myself to pursue it for a while in the woods and I noticed that she always rested on the back of the leaves of forest trees. Finally I go over and take a few pictures. Obviously I had to use flash, in fact, had very little natural light at that time also was a quite dark butterfly.

I checked the photos on my camera and the way of the butterfly, it seemed a Lycaena. Which is quite strange, because it is quite large (about 1" for each wing), also its color was not like any of Lycaena I've seen in this region.

Last night I reviewed a few websites, and finally proved to belong to the family of papilonidae, more details here:
