"Western Grey Kangaroo" = Macropus Fuliginosus

This and other images of exotic wildlife had been registered at the Calgary Zoo with the two Sony cameras I posses.

Like most kangaroos they travel by bouncing on their two large hind legs and can cover upto about 7 meters in a single hop, the tail acting as a balancing devise. Sometimes this tail is also used as a weapon. The young ones are called joeys using their mothers pouches to nurse and for protection until they are about one year old. Please note the size of its rear feet on the second image posted here.

Have been absent because I had inadvertantly crashed the computer through my own fault. However, I have my photos now on a CD. Thanks to the Sun Toucher I've learnt to save my work.

Sorry to know about your PC breakdown. But now happy that everything is alright. I was suppose to email you but in the forum I read what Mr. Bob wrote so didn't thought of it as a wise thing to email. Now to the capture. It is a very nice capture of these kangaroos which are not available to see here in Orissa, India. Fine details and composition. Thanks a lot for sharing.

So glad to see photos from you again. It was good to read that your computer was fixed again and that all photos were saved before the crash. Looking at this photo brought a smile to my face. I am not sure if it is correct what I am seeing, but it looks like you captured them during a very intimate moment.
