first i wish good health to your wife (je souhaîte un
prompt rétabilssement et une bonne santé à ton épouse)
excellent photo with a nice pose of that animal that i didn't kno
until today, i am noticing that like each wild animal or bird
he has the same color of his natural habitat
the details of the subject are excellent but one thing Rick
for this photo i would prefer a horizontal framing than vertical,
i would prefer more space in front where he is looking, TFS
You caught a great pose--- Beautifully finished and composed.

sorry to hear about your wife's pain and I hope she gets well soon.
Your photo is a classic gopher pose taken very well by you with your attention to detail being your hallmark.I too champion the little guy as well because it seems the right thing to do and is good Karma anyhow.Tfs Bob

Please let Lucy know I wish her well.
This is a sweet image of our beloved ground squirrel. He has such a cute little face and curious eye. Well composed and sharp detail.
I love these little guys too, I had one in my garden a couple of summers ago and finally after about 2 month and about 10 holes we caught him carefully and put him in the cat kennel and took him about 1 km away. Low and behold he showed up the next day. We caught him again and took him about 10 km away...I hope he found a girlfriend.

Lovely dedication, indeed our women are very
important source of support and companionship on our quest to a good picture, just like this one. Never heard of this kind of ground squirrel so thanks for the introduction

my heartfelt hope to you that your wife makes a speedy and full recovery as soon as possible.
A fine shot to dedicate to her, i love the dark shadow given by the low lighting that serves to make this cute little fella stand out so clearly. Very well done.

I am so sorry to hear that Lucy is still struggling. I had hoped that the trip to Hyder meant that all was better. One cannot help but like those Richardson Ground Squirrels... those cute little hands, those innocent expressions as they beg for a peanut. On a recent hike we had laid down for a nap. I opened my eyes and there was a R.G.S. sitting not 10 inches from my nose. It was fun to watch him so close.
This is a nice sharp image, Rick. I hope it put a smile on Lucy's face. : )
