Film AVI 10 sec, with about 500 extracted BMP images with a Philips webcam ToucamPro on a 8" telescope. After a choice of the 20 best images, I have to align and stack the images. A few corrections with Photoshop and here is the result. Distance from Earth about 700.000.000 km !!!

Wow, Marc! I've never seen a planet photo on this website before. This is very impressive, and you can see the rings. What a fantastic photo!

Brilliant post!

Marc:

Did you shoot this last night? We had very clear and cool weather so I took out my little Celestron 6" reflector and was able to see the bands on Jupiter very clearly, but not nearly as well as you show them here, as well as the 4 Galilean moons. Excellent exposure. It looks as if I can faintly make out the Great Red Spot, though I fdo not know if its facing earth at this time.

This is a wonderful shot Marc. I wish I was able to capture photos like this one as well. You even have moons! Congratulations and thank you.

Cool!!!
Excelent work, well done.

Mike

Excellent work. Complete with the great red spot. Well done.

Lovely shot of the big planet Marc showing some festoon detail and possibly the Great pale spot as I would call it. As you know Iv tried this myself but not with such success. Without a motorized mount there is a few problems. Very well done on this.

this is another well done phto, i have a telescope too, but i can't photograph the planets.. . my one is a F=1000 and D=114 mm. i don't have the motor for the telescope, and i coul't get a good T-mount. thank you for share it.
