Hi Niek. Something drew me to your picture and i am not too sure what it is. It may be the total calm on the water with a slight mist. I like the way the light is catching the woods behind the houses . and a refection i the water. TFS.
I have yet to start taking picture off landscapes i must give it a try , I will ask Paul H . for some help i know him well.

Well chosen vantage point, Niek.
A moody image through the lighting and the haze.
I do like the green content as well, as this is often an issue in online photography.
Thanks a lot for sharing it.

What a beautiful and mystic atmosphere. The little dust on the water adds to the romantic feeling the picture generates. The only sunrays on the hillock and the white house... any painter of Norwegian landscapes would like to use your picture as a model...
I hope you had a great stay in that magnificent city of Bergen!
What an idyllic scene with its soft misty light and green wild forests. Makes me want to launch my canoe and go explore around the bend in the ?river... ?fjord. It's probably just me but I find even this understated border detracts a bit from the subtlty of your image. I think I might be happier without the higher contrast light line against the black. For some reason my eyes don't rest until I cover the borders and then I can visually move into and become one with the scene... and it is a lovely scene.

I welcome your cropping of the image, which I estimate as a true masterpiece. You managed to reflect the state of time and nature of this cute place brilliantly. I like impressive 3D-effect, light haze over the water, nice lighting, pleasant colours and excellent details of the scene at whole. Well done and TFS.

Another very beautiful and moody shot from you. And again one that almost made it as a LP :)
The warm morning light reasulted in some gorgeous colors and excellent contrast here. I especially like the feel of the trees, both the ones closer and the ones in the BG.
I trust you when saying that the upper part added nothing so i think this elongated horizontal compo looks great.
Bravo and TFS

I think the crop is a hit, It does emphasize the important parts! Seems like a lovely place to stay at, it's good to let us know it's not always so peaceful and quiet :)
Layers used very well in the composition. TFS!

Another excellent presentation of the amazing scenery which you captured during your trip to Norway. The eye meats up with the early morning fog still clearly visible on the lake in the foreground and then it drifts deeper into the shot to discover the images in the midrange and finally finding the interesting blanket of trees in the BG as it covers the mountain to take up the contours and shapes of the surface. I just love the way the darkish trees on either side of the photo actually frames the brighter hilly area in the centre.
Good DOF from the f/11 aperture ensured lovely details and the exposure control was spot-on providing great lighting.
Well done and TFS.

A great view - you have really captured the magnificence of the landscape, by just concentrating on part of it. The misty tones are really beautiful.

a true dautch landscape if ever i saw one, even if it's in Norway! Your capture of this scene is stunning. The soft light and mood, combined with whit looks like a slight mist on the surface had produced a great effect. I can't decide on whther i like the house or not, but it does help add a sense of scale and distance. You POV and exposure are both excellent though.

Mooi landschapsfoto en genomen vanuit een mooi gezichtsveld.
Je hebt je prima vermaakt in Noorwegen aan alle foto's te zien.

The reflections in the water are assets to the composition. Thew point of view leads our eyes toward the trees in the background. the subject is well frame. The morning light is enhancing the colors and is giving a good contrast to them. Have a nice day.
