Anne's Garden III
 |
|
| [Normas para las notas] Notas del fotógrafo |
This is picture no. 3 which I post from 'Anne's Garden' in the Swiss Alps.
The picture shows a micromoth with extreme long antennae. Correspondingly it belongs to the longhorn moths. The species is probably
- Nemophora metallica
- family: Adelidae
Species information
The species is widely distributed in Europe. In contrast to most other species of the family Adelidae, the flight period of N. metallica is in the summer. It prefers to visit Scabiosa and Knautia flowers as can be seen on the picture.
Location
Anne's 'Garden'
Swiss Alps, Valais (Wallis), Bürchen, about 1650m
Conditions
- natural bright sunlight
- wind
- handheld

Hi Peter.
You have pictured a very nice scene. Both flower and little moth are wonderful. I like great DOF and superb reproduction of all details of the lower and its visitor. POV, composition, lighting and colours are fine too. Well done and TFS.
Alexei.

Hallo Peter,
Anne
