I like this species so much. It is widespread in our places. And you managed to reflect all its beauty. I like elegant pose of the bird, excellent details and sharpness of the image, natural fine colours of the dove and so suitable for it surroundings. My hearty compliments and TFS.

The coooing of the Dove used to bother my mother, which was unusual as her nature was in nature:-) Perhaps it was 60 years awakening each morning...even the most sublime of things can grow old...but your image is super fine..do I see some granite and possibly some flakes in the area there which might tell more about geology? Is there gold in or around the area within 100 miles or so? Unless this was hauled in, it looks productive!

Hello Ulla,
as you notes, it likes to occupy new areas. I didnt see it in many places in many year ago. Now, I can find it in many sites, even in my village. Many times, its name "Kumru" is used as a symbol of love, here; "like-Doves (Kumru)". Because they appear usually in pair, not single. You captured it with a great shot. Great focus, POV, lighting and composition. Nicely framed and noted. Thanks for sharing, best regards

Hi Ulla,

We have plenty of doves here but I have not seen a Collared Dove amongst them. A lovely capture of this very elegant looking bird. I love the color combinations and the wonderful "collar." Face is superb showing off the wonderful eye that most dove species seem to share. Colors, clarity and composition are all superb.

What a nice photo of the collared dove you have made. The image has a very high quality being very sharp and rendering natural colors. The plumage of the bird is shown in great details. I like the way plumage colors are blending with the earth in the background.

Hello Ulla,

This is a fine capture of the collared dove, showing clearly the plummage colours and patterns and those dark red legs!
It is an elegant bird.
I also have a warm place in my heart for these birds. A pair regularly nest in our garden tree and I have a lovely shot of a fledgeling nestling in one of my flower pots!
