très belle photographie de ce couple de Roselin familier, n'ayant pas
d'expérience avec des reflexe je ne saurais te donner des trucs
mais si je le compare à mon bridge (qui a un téléobectif)
avec lequel j'ai rééllement des difficultés pour mettre au focus
je trouve que le focus de ton image est très réussi,

excellent POV en contre-plongé et cadrage vertical approprié à l'image,
j'aimes leurs pose, excellente netteté et détails,
j'aime ce contraste des tons chaudes de l'avant-plan
avec les tons froides du background, double jolis
catch-light aux yeux du couple, TFS

I think you did well to get both birds in good focus. Only if both elements are in the same focal plane are you able to get them both in focus. I think they were close enough here to look good. Color and exposure are great. It's especially nice that you got the pair in one shot.

Hi Claudine,
this is a lovely photo of the house finches with very natural colour and out in the open for the details to show.When the auto focus acts up I do one of two things.First I try to focus on something nearby about the very same distance from my subject and then turn my camera to the subject and that sometimes works well.The other thing is I auto focus the subject and turn the focus ring to where things look sharp,failing that I just hand focus the shot.I know that my tips are not much but it works for me.Thanks for sharing these lovely birds with us,the red colour the male has is a joy to see. Hello Claudine,

You have made a very fine photo with these two birds. You have captured a nice, warm light rendering well plumage's colors. The birds stays well against the blue sky. Composition with diagonaly placed perches looks very well making the image dinamic.

Hi Claudine!

It's really a cute couple and the picture is so pleasant to look at. I would like it to be a symbol and good augury for all the couples on the world.

If you would like to increase the sharpness and extend it on both subjects try to increase the depth of view. In your case, why chose 1/500 secs. Go down to 1/125 and this will allow you to expose at maybe f/22. This also means a larger depth of field.

Je viens de voir cette image ensoleillée avec ce charmant couple qui se repose au soleil. Il y a quelque chose de si paisible dans cette scène, accentué encore par ton cadrage vertical qui nos montre que le ciel bleu ä l'arrière-plan. Parfaite diagonale tracée par les branches. Bien vu!

A precise moment especially in terms of 'communication' between these two birds.
Technically well done as well through the fact that both birds are sharp. So you were quite lucky to have a lot of light at your disposal in order to get a lot of depth of field. Oh, didn't see it was a fill in... :-)

Je regarde ta photo et je les entends chanter, ces petits roselins. Parfait, parfait, ta photo est belle, lumineuse et prend avantage du beau ciel bleu pour nous montrer ce couple joyeux! Je ne vois pas où tu aurais pu améliorer ta profondeur de champ sinon diminuer l'ouverture... quoique je ne vois pas non plus le problème dans ta photo. Tu es perfectionniste et c'est sûrement la raison de tes merveilleuses photos. Merci beaucoup, c'est très beau!

You were clever to catch this pair of hose finches together like this and take this shot from such a fine POV with excellent sharpness and great lighting with a catchlight each!
