[Normas para las notas] Notas del fotógrafo
The blue jay (Cyanocitta cristata) is one of my favourite local bird. Blue jays are infamous for destroying eggs and nestlings. Their menu includes acorns, beech nuts and seeds as well as grasshoppers, beetles, caterpillars and small vertebrates. They are intelligent and adaptable, taking advantage of almost any food resource, and will readily visit back yard bird feeders as you can see in this photo. Non migratory populations of blue jays store food such as acorns in bark crevices or in the soil.

Taking good pictures of birds is not easy. I took this shot hidden in a car parked not too far from the feeder.

This is an excellent shot - no apologies needed - I also had many frustrations trying to get a good shot of a blue jay, and this is a very sharp, clear view of one of these fast-moving birds - a long telephot is almost essential since they move away the moment they sense a photographer near by.

Sharp picture. I recognize the difficulty of shooting this particular intelligent bird, that correctly regards people as predators.

Sharp image and great POV of this beautiful blue jay, Daniel.
Well done and TFS. : )

Hello Daniel

Great work. Nicely composed. Excellent sharpness and detail. Well done!

Hello Daniel!

Wonderful colors and POV on this handsome blue jay.

I especially like the catchlight in the eye that you have captured nicely.

Great photo and note, thank you for sharing.

Hmmmmm... I wonder if my red car will fit under the lilac bush in the garden, heated seats, great camouflage? :-D))

Hello Daniel! Nice crop, too! Wonderful colours, great pose, really does justice to this showy bird! They're getting noisy, waiting for the feeders to fill up for the winter. Well done!

Hi Daniel,

Excellent shot and well done on the composition and details.

Hi Daniel
For not being close enough and having to crop this photo you have done darn well. If I can take a shot like this, even with my long lenses, I would be too happy.
Good composition, excellent colours, spot-on DOF with great details on the bird, and the exposure were well managed.
Good work and TFS.
