Nice picture with good colors and DOF, but on the composition front, was it intentional to include that dry flower to the left of the butterfly? i would have put more space in the direction that the butterfly is looking into,

lively shot of that shy and quick moving species.
Very fine naturalistic colours. The focus seems to be spot on. Beautiful light with well shaping shadows.

Hallo Christopher,
I like good shots, in particular of animals which are rare and not so common, like this L. petropolitana. Sometimes, it would be nice to take the picture from a different angle (see the critique of goutham-ramesh), but this is not always possible due to vegetation and a possible own shadow 'thrown' onto the butterfly ... then flying off. Markings of right wings are clear and even the scaling is visible.

Not an easy shot Christoper,
the composition is well taken, the dof is very good but personal I think that the pov can be done bvetter, veryt good shot and good job anyway.
