[Normas para las notas] Notas del fotógrafo
The Golden Plover (Pluvialis apricaria) is a medium-sized plover with a distinctive gold and black summer plumage. In winter the black in replaced by buff and white. They typically stand upright and run in short bursts. Very wary on the breeding grounds. In winter they form large flocks which fly in fairly tight formation with rapid, twinkling wingbeats.

This newly hatched European Golden Plover chick was photographed along a dirt road in Northern Norway.

He is very hard to see among the plants. He is trying to hide himself from you. A bit soft but a good catch. Well done.

You have to open this one to really appreciate it, I think it's a pity that so few have done that so far ;-))
As Janice stated, it's a bit soft, but then it *is* a soft little birdie ;-)) Use of fill flash might have given a catchlight in the eye, which would have been a bonus. Good environmental shot.

Great composition, stunning colours.
Very well done

I have have missed your entrance to the site. So better late than never, welcome to TN, Stephane.

This is an exceptionally nice shot. Not only technical but to get this close and to spot these critters is a feat on it's own. It sharp and colourfull, well composed and exposed. A little sparkle in the eye would have helped but I think the way it's hiding prevented that. It's a small nit.

The golden sheen is noticable compared to out "duller" ones. Well done.
