|I caught this wildflower on my walk to work the other day. As soon as I saw it I thought of this shot by pablominto. Sorry, I'm not enough of a botanist to offer much confidence in my ID. Maybe Janice (lovenature) will help me out.|
PP: A resize, frame, and slight unsharp mask.

Yes, it looks like a kind of fireweed. But not sure. Your photo is very artistic but not enough to identification.
Your photo is really very artistic. I like your composition style and POV. Successful. Bravo and TFS.

Excellent details and very goog lighting. And we both share the same problem as I do not know the id for this plant.
Take a look to this and this. I think you have captured the same plant, but yours is riper.
I hope we can find out the id.
TFS, José M.
I just love the lighting in this photo. It gave the seeds this beautiful shiny effect. Great sharpness and colors and a perfect DOF. Just a pitty, that the top is cut of by the frame.
You capture the play of light so well here!
Well framed and an interesting plant but I doubt if it is fireweed?
Super colours and pleasant details, and I'm sure someone will come up with a reliable ID!
Great lens, Mike. Spectacular detail and none of that anoying grid I see sometimes (and have to learn how to avoid in my own). Maybe some time you could WS one of my pieces and tell me the setting on the unsharp mask. Tried, but can't make heads or tails out of it...
A nic image of the wild flower, the photo has a good composition, sharpness and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.
