This "Sunny Boy" is sitting on a leaf enyoing the last powerful sunbeam in octobre.

- species: Adalia bipunctata
- body length: about 4,5 mm

There are huge numbers of Adalia bipunctata varietes, which have colours from completely red to completely black. And there are many others with mixed colours of red and black. This one is more orange than red.

It´s always difficult to make pictures of beetles like this - black but still shiny...- There are often dark parts (the beetle) but also bright parts (the leaf) I think here that´s noticeable, too.

Hallo Fabian,
die ersten Schritte der Makrofotografie sind schwer. Dieses Objekt - der Marienkäfer - ist besonders problematisch. Erstens ist er ziemlich klein und zweitens sind shwarze, glänzende Oberflächen insbesondere bei hellem Sonnenlicht schwer darzustellen. Trotzdem hast du es geschafft, die Oberflächenstruktur der Deckflügel zu zeigen und auch die orangefarbenen Zeichungen scharf zu präsentieren. Die Fokusebene liegt genau richtig und die Farben sind natürlich.
