[Normas para las notas] Notas del fotógrafo
This was comparatively a big bumble-bee for the ones in Germany. On the picture you can´t really see that but it was about 15 mm.
It was early evening when I took this shot. The light wasn´t so good anymore. The bumble-bee didn´t move... When I came out nearly an hour after I took the shot the bumble-bee still sit there.

The bumble-bee you can see here:
- Order: Hymenoptera
- Suborder: Appocrita
- family: Apidae
- subfamily: Apinae
- species: Bombus terrestris

The Bombus terrestris is mainly black how you can see. Behind the head is an about 1mm wide strap and on the second part of the bumble-bee is one more strap. Both are brown-yellow. At the back of the bumble-bee is a white part. The Bombus terrestris is about 12-17mm long and has a wingspan of 22-34mm.
The bumble-bee lives in Europe in heights until 1400m. They fly from April until octobre (this time in octobre).
They often nest in old nests of mouses in the ground. Sometimes there found in stables with hay or straw.
