Hi again!
Im sorry to bother you with so many mountain pictures - but mountains are so fascinating to me, and I love photographing them. I promise to look for other things to shoot pictures of too!

Well, this is a funny looking peak, because it is shaped like a nice, round mountain top. Whats strange with this place is that the whole backside is missing. You can barely see the ridgeline going up to the very distinct peak in the middle. I`d love to take a picture of this mountain from the other side - I`m going to do it one day, in the future!

PP:
I watched, by Nieks suggestion, the Radiant Vista free video tutorial of photoshop editing, and decided to try some of the technicues on an "old" photo from my archives. It hadnt been quite good enough to be used in any albums or print. But...:
I used curves to adjust contrast in the picture, and also to adjust some red cast in the picure.
I then used selective colour to balance the colours.
Next I did some saturations in some of the colours and also some dodging and burning.
Finally I selected the sky and adjusted curves to get some more contrast in that part of the image only.
USM, resize and USM before framing.

Thanks Niek for all the help, and for leading me to those fantastic tutorials on-line!

Hi Torbjorn,
I am glad I could help and I am happy to see you tried it on this beautiful photo. I really like the clariry of this photo, which you get by using levels and curves. The sky in this one is awesome and has a really beautiful color tone to it. I like the sublt colors in the front of the mountian and the lovely pinkish cloud on the right. One little nit, you got some cyan color on the left flank of the mountian.
TFS,
Niek

Hello again Torbjorn,

Let me say that you have the eye for landscape photo and Norway is a nice place for that.
This picture was taken at the right moment of the day as the sun is geting low and makes for nice shadows and warm colours. Excellent job in PP. Your notes are very usefull. The colours are well ajusted. Good contrast to. Continue the good work.

PC :)

Hi Torbjorn,
You do not bother me at all with your mountain pics. I never been that high in Norway, but looking at your pics, it must be wothwhile in the Troms area.
Good natural light, POV and good note.
TFS and regards, Ruud
