| Introducción: | I took a lucky shot of a couple of toads with my Olympus C-765 UZ and thought mmm... I'm going to be a photographer when I grow up.But I was also going to be a dancer, artist, writer, famous person and win the lottery! I think you'd better not expect a good picture every time I post!I learnt something about natural history the trickle down way. My husband has always been a keen amatuer naturalist (when we were courting he used to take me looking for frogs -romantic eh?)My eldest son graduated from Edinburgh with a degree in Ecology & my younger got a first from Aberdeen in Marine biology (now there's the proud mum talking). I really love the trek sites and have a few pictures up on trekearth and treklens. Since becoming a trek member I have become hooked. My husband has become a trek widower. He's tucked up in bed now while I burn the midnight oil. Mind you, the boot (or perhaps I should say wader) will be on the other foot shortly as my husband will be fishing with the haaf beam. The haaf net fishermen follow the tides around the clock. update Christmas 2007 I have hardly been on site since May, much to my regret. II bought a Canon 400D in April and realised pretty quickly that I needed a macro lens. I have struggled to come to grips with the Canon, having to come to love my little point and shoot Olympus. The pictures I have taken recently I have uploaded onto TE & TL. I have much to learn and need to decide whether I want to invest in a macro lens. The powerful zoom lens required for good nature photographer come at £1,500+ and I can't see me ever contemplating that kind of investment. Perhaps I should have bought the new Olympus ultra zoom. | |
