|Introducción:||22 December 2015|
Me and my wife Annetjie both went on pension in May 2014. I have not been very active on TrekNature since then due to two hip transplants and a shoulder operation in March 2015. After recovery we paid the KNP in South Africa a few visits but plan to travel South Africa from corner to corner with the help from above.
I live in Witbank, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Me and my wife Annetjie are active campers and I have only recently, with the help of "Mamagolo2", my sister, aquired the urge to take-up photography as a hobby. We have been through the Kgalagadi Frontier Park, Etosha (Namibia) and the Kruger National Park before I could master the courage (after much persuasion) from my sister to place my photos. I am looking forward to the comments of the members and hope to learn from your experience. I have two cameras, a Panasonic FZ8 and a Canon 20D. Morne, Natley and Stella, I really value your help! Treknature members, thanks for the welcome!!
Revised intro: 2011/07/10 - TN Members, firstly I would like to express my gratitude for the compliments received on my photos (so please don’t see my next statement in a wrong light). But, that will not make me a better photographer! I am not, (as one member put it) a point hound or to build up a fan basis. As a novice my reason for joining TM is to learn about the skills required to become a “better photographer” by letting you guide me with regards to obvious defects on the photos that I put on this website. I value the two workshops done and the positive critics received. I would like to appeal to you to scrutinise my photos and help me where you can. Don’t worry about my feelings; I was a 1951 baby who pushed his own pram, therefore I will survive. This might be my last hobby and I am determined to make a success of it.
