I visited a good friend who is living in Chamonix, in the French Alps ; but, as I was down there, I decided to do some hiking in this wonderful region. I discovered many jewels in the mountains. While in California for a wedding of one of our dear friends we decided to visit Yosemite National Park for the first time as a family. We spent 3 days and nights there and it was glorious. I had nursed ideas of being a modern-day Ansel Adams, but that lasted all of 5 minutes once we arrived. Even still we had a great time and saw some awesome nature! (11 photos)

From the 20th of June to the 3rd of July 2009 I was on holiday in the south of France. I spent the second week in a region called Camargue, down at the Mediterranean Sea, a land of sea and beaches and lakes and marshes - a land where you find water everywhere. My dad and I spent Memorial day taking pictures from a scavenger hunt list that we made together. We took lots of pictures. Some weren't on our list. Correction lots weren't on our list. We got a bulldozer a well and I almost got a picture of a shiny lizard that wasn't on our list! When we got home it was 2:31 and we hadn't had lunch yet. (5 photos)

I took my children camping at Sherando Lake in Lyndhurst, Virginia (about 30 miles south-west of Charlottesville). We arrived at the campground at 10:30 PM Friday night and didn't know that they close & lock the gate each night at 10:00 PM. So we slept the first night in the car at the gate until they opened it Saturday morning at 6:00 AM. The camping was excellent and there were many things to photograph which I plan on sharing with you... (7 photos)

I traveled to California for training last May and while there took some side trips to photograph the beauty of the area. (21 photos)

In 2006 I took my first trip to France. I was in Paris for 5 days and then took a train to Southern France where I connected with my wife and children and spent a few days down there with them before returning home. (3 photos)

Three Fingers is a great mountain with very awesome views of the Cascades. The summit is around 6800 feet tall and can be seen from over 50 miles away. Fortunatly my trip there went nearly perfect! An experience that I hope to have again later this year. I encourage anyone from Washington to come visit this place some day.... (full story) (3 photos)

In the beginning of November autumn was beginningto loose from its beauty: the leaves were turning from colourful to brown, but at Körösrév (Vadu Crisului) the forest was still beautiful. My trip with my family lasted there a whole day. (6 photos)

All of the bird pictures from Bali were taken at the Bali Bird Park.
The monkey pictures were taken at the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud or various temple sites. (10 photos)

Thanks to my wife Anna (Miss_Piggy) who secretly made all the arrangements, we once again were fortunate to visit the Kruger National Park and even had a bit of the Panoramic Eastern Mpumalanga included in this years vacation.

This was yet another put everything in the car and go - with one exception - this time we had a fixed base and had rented a beautiful holiday home on the Ring of Kerry overlooking Valentia Island.
