Hello,

Firstly, i just realised i'm the third person to do this workshop.. Oops..

Anyway here is what i did:
Selective sharpening (Bird only)
Inversed selection to reduce the noise in the background
Lighten the picture a little using levels.

how you can see on TN you can change settage on photo. if you like it, you can learn more about other POV.
- more details, with filter - smart sharpen
- no noise, with reduce noise
- more luminosity with adjustment - levels

stretched out the histogram by using the curves command. you could use levels too. the idea is that the black points should correspond to say 5 counts and the white points to say 250 counts. in the orignal picture blacks had much higher values and whites had much lower ones.
i then selected the background with the magic wand tool and then inverted the selection
i then sharpened the seagull
